A Voice for the Rights, Culture and Dignity of Hindus
“Born not from hatred against anyone, but from the pain of watching our own home fall apart — a Hindu who stands firm for self-respect while holding a lamp, not a torch.”
Operating under the Hindu Welfare Society (Hindu Kalyan Sanstha, HWS) in the Delhi National Capital Region since 2010, the Hindu Struggle Committee (Hindu Sangharsh Samiti, HSC) unites Hindu organisations through peaceful demonstration, constitutional legal action, campus dialogue, unconditional service (seva), and global human rights advocacy.
Core Philosophy & Touchstones
Rooted in Rig Vedic pluralism (Ekam Sad Vipra Bahudha Vadanti — Rig Veda 1.164.46), universal kinship (Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — Maha Upanishad 6.71), and the duty of lawful self-protection (Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitah).
22.05% (1951) to 7.95% (2022 Census)
About 1.2 million Hindu households lost land under the Enemy/Vested Property regime (1965–2006). UN OHCHR confirmed attacks across 27 districts in August 2024.
Abduction & Forced Marriage of Minority Girls
Hindus represent ~2.2% of Pakistan’s population, mostly in Sindh. UN experts documented girls as young as 13 abducted, forcibly converted, and married under coercion.
From ~700,000 (1970s) to <100 Remaining
Afghanistan’s ancient Hindu and Sikh community was reduced to fewer than 100 people by 2022, alongside worship restrictions at Tamil Hindu sites in Sri Lanka.
Temple Autonomy, Education & Samarasta
Advocating transparent autonomous Hindu temple trusts, Article 30 parity in education, rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits, and complete eradication of caste discrimination.
Turning Scattered Fingers into a Protective Fist — “Not to Strike Anyone, But to Protect and Beautify Our Own Home”
The Hindu Struggle Committee (Hindu Sangharsh Samiti, HSC) operates under the Hindu Welfare Society (Hindu Kalyan Sanstha, HWS), headquartered in the Delhi National Capital Region since 2010. While every math, akhara, and institution does noble work at its own level, they often appear like scattered fingers when a crisis strikes. HSC brings them onto one platform through two coordinated tracks:
Common Minimum Programme
Shared causes on which all Hindu organisations stand together without disagreement: service to the cow, protection of temples, revival of Sanskrit, safety of South Asian Hindu minorities, and opposition to forced or fraudulent conversion.
Common Maximum Programme
Long-term transformative goals: complete eradication of birth-based caste discrimination (Samarasta), an education system rooted in Indian knowledge traditions, and transparent, audited autonomy for Hindu temples.
Addressing Historical, Present-Day & Internal Wounds Together
Remembering Nalanda, Somnath, Kashi Vishwanath, Guru Tegh Bahadur’s martyrdom (1675), the 1946–47 Partition, the 1971 Bangladesh genocide, and the 1990 Kashmiri Pandit exodus — not for revenge, but to prevent repetition.
Correcting state takeover of Hindu temples, unequal educational autonomy under Article 30, coerced conversions, and persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.
Healing caste division and cultural self-reproach from within: “A society that fights only external challenges while remaining hollow inside will one day collapse under its own weight.”
Peaceful Advocacy, Constitutional Law, Unconditional Seva & Cultural Renewal
Modelled on international civil society best practices and anchored in our 8-point ethical code (Our Maryada).
South Asian Minority Rights & UN Advocacy
Documenting human rights violations against Hindus in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka; submitting verified dossiers to UN Special Rapporteurs, Treaty Bodies, and Universal Periodic Reviews (ICCPR Arts. 18 & 27, CEDAW Art. 16).
Temple Autonomy & Equal Citizenship
Campaigning to replace state HR&CE bureaucracy over 44,000+ temples with transparent, audited Hindu trusts representing devotees of every caste, alongside equal educational rights under Article 30.
Women’s Dignity, Safety & Autonomy
“Against crime, not against love.” Providing free legal aid, counselling, and safe shelter for survivors of fraudulent marriage, blackmail, or coercion while explicitly respecting adult women’s constitutional freedom of choice.
Shri Shankar Sanskar Kendras & Sanskrit
Running 6 free slum education centres in Delhi (with 16 queued to open and a target of 50) teaching literacy, arithmetic, yoga, and Sanskrit conversation to children of every caste without conditions.
Samarasta: Eradicating Caste Discrimination
Training youth of all castes as temple priests, hosting shared community meals, honouring inter-caste marriages, providing legal aid against untouchability, and engaging in open dialogue with Ambedkarite thinkers.
Democratic Mobilisation & Legal Action
From the nationwide campaign against the 2011 draft Communal Violence Bill and honouring Ashok Chakra martyr Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma to university seminars at DU and JNU.
From University Campuses to Jantar Mantar
Visual campaign releases, student movements, and public awareness graphics from the Hindu Struggle Committee.
University Consciousness & Student Advocacy Poster
HSC regards universities as “the first laboratories of national consciousness,” engaging students at Delhi University and JNU through debates, leaflets, and peaceful demonstrations.
“Mood of the Nation” Cultural & Public Campaign
Using symbolic cultural imagery and public satire within constitutional bounds to rally public awareness around national security, cultural pride, and campus politics.
6 Slum Centres Operating · 16 Queued · Goal of 50
“Didi, did Lord Ram also live in a forest like us?” — Educating children in Delhi’s slum settlements in literacy, arithmetic, Sanskrit, and values across every caste.
